New State Academy hosts CBSE science exhibition

New State Academy Sr. Sec. School, Pitampura, hosted CBSE Regional Level Science exhibition 2010.

131 exhibits were displayed from 86 different schools of Delhi. The exhibition was inaugurated by P. Krishnamurthy, IAS, Director of Education Govt of NCT who emphasised on initiating the students for academic excellence by experience and discovery. M.C. Sharma, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, in his address congratulated students for their enthusiastic efforts and stressed the need to have better and useful understanding of all sciences. School chairman, B.R. Kamrah proposed the vote of thanks.

The students, teachers and visitors were enriched by various informative talks, symposia and demonstrations by different groups, highlights being ‘Science behind Miracles’ and Electronics in Daily Life by Vigyan Prasar. 15 exhibits were shortlisted for participating in national level science exhibition. Certificates were awarded by Dharampal Singh, Regional Officer, CBSE.

Sneh International School organised an exhibition, ‘Colours of India’ where students showcased projects, models, working miniatures, charts and live demonstrations depicting all states and aspects of their country. Chief Guest was Agatha Sangma, Minister of State for Rural Development while the Guest of Honour was Naseeb Singh, MLA and Chairman, Distt. Devt Commttee (East). To inculcate the spirit of team-work, co-operation and healthy competition in the students, the programme was designed as an inter-class competition. Chairman, Subhash Dhingra, Director, Kamlesh Jacob and Principal, Ritu Gupta appreciated the efforts of the students.

Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida, organised a three-day fest ‘Resplendence 2010’. Principal, Sujata Dewan welcomed all the participants. On day one ‘Dab N Splash’ was organized which included various events such as On the spot painting, cartoon making, poster designing and craft work-Best out of waste. An Inter School Group Folk Dance competition was also organised for the Pre-Primary students. On Day 2 the school provided an interactive and display platform to enable the young science aspirants to showcase their creative skills through ‘Science Project Display’ for the primary and middle school students. Science Symposium was conducted for the senior students. On Day three, ‘Arghya’, the 9th Annual Inter School Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan Memorial Music Compe-tition was held. The rolling trophy went to the host school.
