When Shivani Taneja, 23, a Vasundhara Enclave resident, reached the bus stop to take the metro feeder bus to Mayur Vihar metro station on Saturday morning, she was disappointed to find that the service had been cancelled.

“The DMRC should have made other arrangements,” she says.
DMRC’s decision to pull the feeder buses has hit the common man hard.
“Rickshaws and autos are charging more money now they know that commuters have no other option. The feeder buses charged Rs 7 while the auto driver wants Rs 50,” says Natasha Verma, 29, a Patparganj resident, who was stuck at the Yamuna Bank Metro station.
According to DMRC, more than 40,000 commuters used the feeder bus service daily. The service was discontinued for a week starting Saturday.
Ekta Kukreja, a Dwarka resident, says, “I think it’s a good thing that DMRC has planned to do something about the unreliable feeder buses. I have never been able to take these buses as they never stick to the route and are badly maintained. Maybe this will teach the contractors a lesson,” she says.
