These days, Shubhangi Chiplunkar, who owns the Maharashtra food stall at Dilli Haat, is busy completing orders for modaks for the Ganesh festival.

Over the years, many non-Maharashtrians, have started celebrating Ganesh festival in a big way. Her orders for modaks have touched 3,000 a day.

When they come to buy modaks, these families also tell her about Ganesh idols at their homes and how they decorate with lights and flowers.

Many Andhraiites, Tamilians and even from the Agrawal community, celebrate Ganeshotsav in the community way.
