In a first such incident, driver Jag Dev was arrested last night for allegedly dropping a woman BPO employee at a traffic intersection instead of her home.
"We have issued a notice under Section 144 to explain why the woman employee was not dropped at her home. If their explanation is not satisfactory, then the employer will face the music," V Rengana-than, DCP (west), said.
The driver, engaged by the call centre, dropped the girl last and that too not in front of her house but at a traffic intersection in Uttam Nagar. The vehicle also did not have a global positioning system (GPS) as prescribed by Delhi Police.
A patrol vehicle arrested the driver in Janakpuri area.
