The battle for nursery admissions in Delhi begins on Tuesday with schools starting the sale of forms. On October 29, the Directorate of Education (DoE) had issued guidelines and fixed a schedule to streamline the nursery admission process.

Many schools had been ignoring DoE recommendations and fixing their own schedules. The department said any school deviating from the fixed schedule this year would face strict action.
Most schools will sell application forms between 9 am and 12.30 pm. Filled-up forms can be submitted till January 15.
The first list of selected candidates will be out by February 1. Schools have to complete all admission formalities by March 31.
Parents will have the option of filling forms online for schools such as The Shri Ram School (Vasant Vihar) and Laxman Public School (Hauz Khas).
Application forms for some — such as DPS (RK Puram), Sanskriti School (Chanakyapuri), Bal Bharti (Pitampura) and Gyan Bharti (Saket) — will only be available online.
But those belonging to the ‘economically weaker section’ will be able to get forms from the premises of these institutions.
