Besides, the chief technical examination (CTE) team of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is also looking into 24 projects of the Public Works Department (PWD) that were completed before the Games. Atleast five projects, including the bus queue shelter, are directly under the CVC scanner.

"The CTE will conduct an audit of all projects, related to the Commonwealth Games, that the PWD undertook in the past two years. In the past too, they have been auditing our projects," said a senior PWD official on condition of anonymity.

"They give us a report and on the basis of that report, we take action against errant officials, if any. They either agree or disagree with our decisions and we have to answer to them," the official added. The CAG team would also do the "performance audit" of PWD projects.

On Saturday, all the 34 functional areas of the OC completed their file work and submitted them to Gurjyot Kaur, a joint secretary-level officer appointed as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), to look into the controversial deals.

"We are ready for any kind of probe and all our files are ready. The multiple agencies that have been formed to enquire into the cases can arrive at any time and check the documents. Our accounts are in order," said a senior OC official.

A CVC team has been already on the job at the OC headquarters for the past month. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will look into tenders for providing material and services such as outdoor umbrellas and gym equipment.

The documents would be photocopied and distributed among probe agencies on a need-to-know basis.
