The Opposition Congress trashed the south corporation budget for its lack of new initiatives and for increasing taxes on commercial properties at the time of recession.

Leader of Opposition Farhad Suri said, "The commissioner has not even talked about the completion of deadlines of older projects," he said. "Improving drainage is a primary function but lack of new projects means Delhi will remain water-logged in next monsoon too," he added.

BJP leader of the House Subhash Arya however said they will come up with more proposals at the standing committee and House proceedings.
