Overnight rains cooled the capital on Tuesday by bringing down the temperature, but has led to water-logging in various parts of the city, resulting in traffic snarls.

Traffic chaos was reported from ITO, Yamuna Bridge, parts of East Delhi and at Nizamuddin area and others with vehicles moving at a snail's pace resulting in traffic jams.
"The city has received 14.4 mm of rains, bringing down the mercury level to a comfortable 23.9 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am today," the Met officials said.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.2 degree Celsius against yesterday's 37 degree Celsius.
The Met officials have forecast partly cloudy sky likely to be followed by rains and thunder showers in the evening.
The monsoon has set in the capital on June 15, almost a fortnight ahead of June 29 deadline.
