India's political leadership will gather in parliament here on Sunday to mark the eighth anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on parliament that almost sparked an India-Pakistan war.

"The top political leadership will pay floral tributes to martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the terrorist attack on parliament on Dec 13, 2001," said a Lok Sabha secretariat official.
"A blood donation camp is being organised (on the occasion)," the official told IANS.
On Friday, the Lok Sabha paid tribute to the memory of those who died in the audacious attack.
Five heavily armed gunmen said to be Pakistanis -- Islamabad denies the charge -- stormed parliament and opened indiscriminate fire, killing nine people instantly.
The victims included five Delhi Police personnel, a woman constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), two parliament security attendants and a gardener. A journalist who was injured died later.
All five terrorists were shot dead.
