However, nothing has been done till date in Noida to address the security concerns of industrialists.

After LK Choudhary (47) was killed and several staff members injured on the company premises, a special post of circle officer (industries) was created to “stop the sparks from flying” and provide security to industrial units. A helpline number was also provided to register complaints. Interestingly, the helpline number was not working till last week. It was made operational following media reports, saying that the CO has failed to check rising incidents of extortion and violence against industrialists.

“The Graziano case had created international hue and cry, but it still failed to stir the police and administration. In the past one year, the CO (industries) has not held a single meeting with industrialists. One of his main functions is to end disputes between managements and employees. In March, Noida Entrepreneurs’ Association had asked the then SSP to do something about it, but to no avail.
