A cool breeze and an early morning drizzle greeted Delhiites on Wednesday even as the weatherman predicted more showers for the day.

“There will be a cloudy sky with a few showers and thunderstorms in some parts of Delhi,” said a met official.
With the sun hidden behind grey clouds till late morning, pleasant conditions would continue. The rains have brought relief from the summer heat.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday is predicted to be 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum will hover around 25 degrees Celsius. Humidity is expected to be high at 81 per cent.
The southwest monsoon finally hit the capital on Tuesday evening and since 8.30 pm till Wednesday morning 8.3 mm of rain was recorded.
The official, however, expressed worry about the scant rain.
“Normally the rains are strong when they arrive. In June this year the capital and surrounding areas received just 19 mm of rain while the average is 55 mm,” he said.
The average rain recorded in July in previous years was 225.3 mm.
