A day after heavy rains brought the capital to a virtual standstill, Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Tuesday with light drizzle in some areas. The weather office predicted rains later in the day.

"There may be one or two spells of heavy rains in some areas and the sky will remain cloudy," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The minimum temperature recorded was 24.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.
According to the Met office, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 32 degrees Celsius.
The maximum and minimum humidity oscillated between 98 percent and 75 percent.
The national capital received 21.4 mm of rainfall from Monday morning till 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Delhi has recorded a total rainfall of 889 mm this season, around 86 percent above average.
