PM condoles Mahendra Kapoor's death

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expresses grief over the death of noted playback singer Mahendra Kapoor.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday expressed grief over the death of noted playback singer Mahendra Kapoor.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said the death of Kapoor is an irreparable loss to millions his fans.

Mahendra Kapoor is no more but his songs like 'Mere Desh Ki Dharthi' will keep him alive in the heart of every India, Singh said.

74-year-old Kapoor died yesterday in Mumbai following a heart attack. He is survived by wife, three daughters and a son.
