Abhishek Suri, Maheshwar Pal and Karan were arrested by the police following various complaints of cheating on the pretext of getting the loan sanctioned from private institutions..

During the probe, seven fictitious bank accounts were unearthed. According to the police, the three have cheated 80 people.

"One laptop, one PC, 45 files on customers, six cheque books, two passbooks and four debit cards have been recovered from them," the police said.

The police also said that the three opened several bank accounts, all on the basis of forged documents.

The accused were running a fake finance firm, Suri Traders, from Dwarka. An FIR under various provisions of the IPC related to cheating and forging documents has been registered against them at the Maurya Enclave police station.

In October, one Ram Pratap had approached the accused for grant of a loan of Rs20 lakh. The accused were paid Rs1.05 as commission after the three told him that a private financier Vikram Goel had agreed to lend him money.
