The accused, identified as Ram Avtar alias Hari Chand alias Golu Jamanati (48), was arrested outside Saket Court Complex while striking a deal with a client. His aides advocate Pradeep (32) and Manmeet Singh (27) were arrested from Tiz Hazari. Police said the gang had also provided surety for a top-notch terrorist, who is one of the main accused in the 2002 blasts at the American Embassy in Kolkata.

The accused used to provide fake surety documents to be presented in the courts to seek bails. "The accused admitted that he provided fake sureties in at least 80 cases, including that of Aftab Ansari, a terrorist. Golu Jamanati is quite famous in the court circle,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chhaya Sharma. htc
