Delhi police claimed to have busted an interstate kidnapping racket with the arrest of four hardcore criminals from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh and rescued a businessman from their clutches.

Police arrested Harender alias Guddu, Ramdayal and Pramod during their rescue operation at a village in Aligarh which was conducted after getting a tip-off from their conduit Satyabhan Singh.
They also recovered two country-made pistols and three live cartridges from them, police said.
On December 18, businessman Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad, was abducted and his family members started getting calls demanding Rs 25 lakh for his safe release, police said.
After analysing the call details, police first caught Satyabhan Singh, working as a manager with a co-operative firm, who revealed the entire kidnapping plot and led the police to a place in Aligarh from where the victim was rescued and the accused were arrested, they added.
The car of the victim has also been recovered, they said, adding an FIR under various provisions of the IPC and the Arms Act dealing with kidnapping for ransom, possession of fire arms and criminal intimidation has been lodged at Mandawali police station here.
The accused have been running an inter-state racket, police claimed.
