Police hound neighbour

“Three officers from the Prasad Nagar Police Station came to my house on Sunday and forced me to accompany them to the Police Station,” the neighbour, who was instrumental in blowing the lid off the three siblings' sustained abuse over a period of 18 months, told Hindustan Times.

Once at the police station, the man was allegedly forced to sign a statement saying that Rajkumari, the abused siblings' widowed mother, was characterless.

“The statement said that she was promiscuous and was having an affair with a young man whom she treats as her adopted son. I told them that it was untrue and that I wouldn't stand by the statement at the first opportunity that I'd have to refute it. Despite that however, they made me sign it,” he alleged.

Immediately after he signed the statement, the neighbour rushed to his house to grab some of his belongings and fled to a relative's residence at an undisclosed location in the Capital.

On Tuesday, the neighbour submitted a written complaint pertaining to the matter to Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S Dadwal.
HT has accessed the complaint in which the neighbour has narrated the sequence of events leading up to his harassment, in addition to alleging that he was being hounded by the local police because he had helped the victims getting their complaint filed.
