Both the Congress and the BJP seem to be on a spree to inaugurate projects months before the Assembly elections. The BJP-ruled South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Saturday inaugurated the Pankha Road Flyover and named it Vivekanandsetu.

BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, who did the inauguration, said the flyover has been renamed to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.
Congress chief minister Sheila Dikshit too will go on an inauguration spree on Sunday when she opens five colony gyms for the residents of New Delhi. These gyms are located at Gole Market, SP Marg, Moti Bagh and RK Puram.
At the Pankha Road flyover inauguration, SDMC mayor Savita Gupta said in metros such as Delhi, there was a need of more flyovers to reduce traffic. “Pankha Road is one of the important traffic arteries of west Delhi,” she said.
With the construction of this flyover, traffic coming to and fro from Uttam Nagar will remain smooth. Areas such as Najafgarh, Janakpuri, Dwarka, Palam and adjoining colonies will also benefit.
