Four people, including three Indian Postal Service employees, have been arrested for allegedly stealing valuables from parcels in Delhi Cantonment, police said Sunday.

According to the police, the group’s activities came to light on Friday evening when the assistant manager at the Netaji Nagar Post Office, Rajbir Yadav, found an official vehicle parked in a lane in the Cantonment area.
“Yadav, in his complaint, has claimed that the doors of the vehicle were open and someone at the back of the van was unloading parcels from it into a bag lying on the road below it,” said a senior police officer.
Yadav, who was returning home at the time, decided to intimate the police about what he had witnessed and narrated the whole incident to a police party which reached the spot subsequently, police said.
“We took the four men present near the van in our custody and took them to the Delhi Cantonment police station where they identified themselves as Janardhan Maji,
Shiv Shankar and Jai Bhagwan, who are employees of the Indian Postal Service, and one Vinod, who is a driver,” the officer said.
