Protest against inflation, graft today

The soaring prices and disgust against rampant corruption has prompted several trade union organisations to hold a mass protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday. The protest will include satyagraha/ jail bharo and mass squatting. This protest, starting at 11am, is part of an all-India programme. HT reports.

"Apart from soaring prices and rampant corruption, we will also demand regularisation of contract workers, fixing minimum wage at Rs 10,000 and pension for them," said Gurudas Das Gupta, general secretary, AITUC.
