It was not the police alone who were keeping an eye on thousands of agitators inside and outside the Chhatrasal stadium during the three-day-long protest. Around 26 CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the stadium were also keeping a hawk-eye on the protesters.

A special control room was set up inside the stadium to record the
activities of protesters within the premises and on the road. “We have continuously recorded each and every minute of the protest. We can’t manage everything in-person. These cameras helped us a lot in managing the huge crowd gathered outside the stadium on Monday and Tuesday,” said a police officer.
Other locations of protests - Tihar Jail, India Gate and JP Park — too were all video recorded by the Delhi police to make sure they have proof in case any untoward incident occurred.
“We videograph all demonstrations taking place across the capital. It’s a routine practice and we are only following the Supreme Court guidelines,” said a senior police officer.
