Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi has broken his right leg while exercising in Delhi recently, sources said. The injury has forced him to skip the Budget presentation on Monday.

Doctors diagnosed the fracture on Sunday after conducting an X-ray on his right leg.
A plaster cast has now been applied to hold the broken leg in place and to immobilise the bone for faster healing. Doctors have advised Rahul to undergo complete bed rest till he recovers fully, an aide said.
Rahul would be out of action for the next four weeks in view of the 'seriousness' of the injury, the source further added.
Media reports had earlier suggested that the Gandhi scion had injured his leg while taking part in adventure sports in Kodagu (Coorg), a hill station in Karnataka, where he was holidaying with his friends from February 16 to 20. He was reported to have treated at a private hospital at Ammathi in the same district.
But a fit Rahul was present in the Lok Sabha on Friday when railways minister Mamataa Banerjee presented her Railway Budget for 2011-12.
He was seen engaged in some serious discussions with other young leaders of the party.
