'Rahul is No 2 in Congress'

Amid speculation that Rahul Gandhi will be given a bigger role in the organisational reshuffle expected soon, the Congress on Tuesday said the Amethi MP was already "number 2" in the party. HT reports.

Amid speculation that Rahul Gandhi will be given a bigger role in the organisational reshuffle expected soon, the Congress on Tuesday said the Amethi MP was already "number 2" in the party.

"Rahul Gandhi is number 2 in the party. His place is after the Congress president. It is not a hidden fact. There is no ambiguity about it. The PM has said that Rahul is the future leader of the country," party leader Janardan Dwivedi said.
