Profession: Before joining politics Bansal used to manufacture plastic pipes. His sons run that business now.

Education: Bansal has an engineering degree from Patiala University.

Family: Wife Prabha Bansal is a homemaker. They have two sons and a daughter. Bansal is a sports lover and makes it a point to play volleyball every morning without fail. “Since childhood I have been playing volleyball as it is one of my favourite sports. I also play table tennis with my kids at night after completing all my work,” said Bansal.

Cars: The family owns a Hyundai Accent.
