Not only this, the civic agency has decided to impose a heavy penalty, which will vary according to the size of the hoarding.

“Hoardings, whether political or religious, have been put up across the city. In the name of social, religious or political events, supporters of the same have cluttered the city with these hoardings. To curb this menace, we have decided to serve notices, and will impose a fine of R5,000 and R8,000, depending on the size of the hoarding,” said a senior MCD official.

According to the civic agency, notice will be served to the person whose name appears on the hoarding, and in case no name is mentioned, then the notice will be served to the representatives.
