Remove illegal speed breakers in a month: HC

NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court on Wednesday said speed breakers on public roads that were constructed without authorisation of traffic police should be removed

NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court on Wednesday said speed breakers on public roads that were constructed without authorisation of traffic police should be removed within four weeks.

A bench of justice BD Ahmed and justice Sanjeev Sachdeva issued the direction to the three municipal corporations, public works department, the New Delhi Municipal Council, Delhi Cantonment Board and Delhi Development Authority.

The court directed the traffic police and the civic bodies to ensure that no speed breakers are constructed which do not conform to the guidelines of Indian Road Congress (IRC) and the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC).
