Casualty ward was shut down and resident doctors kept away from OPDs. Till 12 pm, only one patient was admitted in the hospital.

Meanwhile, LNJP Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Swaraj Batra has called a meeting with the resident doctors, said Resident Doctors' Association President Dr Kuldeep Kumar.

Resident doctors at the hospital went on an indefinite strike last night in the wake of alleged attacks on medical staff by relatives of patients.

The resident doctors began their strike at 8 pm demanding that the Government take steps to ensure adequate security arrangements at the hospital.

On three consecutive days from Friday last week, resident doctors were allegedly attacked by patients' relatives in the hospital premises.
