Residents of NDMC areas to face water crisis on 2 days

The supply would be hit as Chandrawal water treatment plants 1 and 2 along with raw water pump house at Wazirabad water works would not be operational on Wednesday and Thursday, DJB said.

Water supply to central Delhi, NDMC areas, north Delhi and parts of south Delhi will be affected from Wednesday evening till Friday morning, due to major shutdown of Wazirabad and Chandrawal water treatment plants for 48 hours.

The supply would be hit as Chandrawal water treatment plants 1 and 2 along with raw water pump house at Wazirabad water works would not be operational on Wednesday and Thursday, DJB said.

NDMC areas to be hit are: Vinay Marg, Akbar Road, Chanakyapuri, Teen Murti, Lodhi Road, Shahjahan Road, Race Course, Maulana Azad Road, Ashok Road, India Gate, Sunder Nagar, CP, Gole market, Janpath, MP flats, etc.

West Delhi areas include: east, west and south Patel Nagar, Shadipur, R block New Rajinder Nagar, staff quarters at Pusa Institute complex, etc. South Delhi areas are: Vasant Vihar and Moti Bagh while north Delhi areas that would not get any water supply are: Malka Ganj, Old Subji Mandi, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Rajpur Road, Police Line, etc.
