Amritpal Singh Sachdeva, the owner of the east Delhi building that collapsed, killing 72 people, has been sent to judicial remand for two weeks by a local court.

Amritpal Singh Sachdeva, the owner of the east Delhi building that collapsed, killing 72 people, has been sent to judicial remand for two weeks by a local court.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police, which is probing the Monday night incident in Lalita Park area of Laxmi Nagar, said they did not need to further interrogate accused Amritpal Singh (55).

Sachdeva was arrested from the house of one of his relatives in Geeta Colony on Wednesday night, two days after he went into hiding.

He was slapped with a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
