The High Court dismissed an appeal filed by the prestigious Sanskriti school against a Central Information Commission order asking it to give to an RTI applicant details of the contributions received from Government departments, ministries or non-government organisation by the school since its inception.

The court rejected the argument that it was a private school run by the wives of serving Civil Service officers and not a public authority under the RTI Act, 2005.
