The Supreme Court on Monday declined to stay dentist Nupur Talwar’s trial in the twin murder case of her daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.

A special bench of justices AK Patnaik and JS Khehar, however, issued a notice to the CBI on Talwar’s plea seeking review of an earlier apex court judgment that paved way for her trial in the case.
A bench headed by justice AK Ganguly had on January 6 upheld the Allahabad High Court order that refused to set aside summons issued against her by a metropolitan magistrate.
While holding an open court proceedings in the matter, Justice AK Patnaik’s bench gave the CBI four weeks to file its response to the review petition.
The court also said that Talwar would have to appear before the court on April 11.
