Sharma family escort removed

Although there are still a few police personnel posted at his house, the police have removed the escort provided to them. And when the family tried to find out the reason for the move, they were given none.

The security was given to due to the enemies he made along the way.

“They didn’t give us any reason for the withdrawal. One fine morning we came to know that they would not be coming from the next day,” said Narottam Sharma, his father.

“What worries me the most is the security of my grandchildren. Now every time they step out, I would be worried about them,” he added.

Police admitted the security given to Sharma family has been stepped down.

For the Sharmas, the going has been tough since their son died. “All we got is false promises,” said Narottam Sharma.

“His promotion has been due since 2001. We just got an Ashok Chakra for my son’s life and a teacher’s job for my daughter-in-law,” lamented Devender Devi, M.C. Sharma
