The 10-year-old boy — one of the three siblings from central Delhi’s Prasad Nagar, who were drugged and sodomised over 18 months, allegedly by their school cab driver and four other juveniles, — has gone missing. “After we approached the police, we have been facing problems everyday. We have not gone to the school and the four juvenile accused used to come near our house and threaten us not to take their names,” said his 12-year-old sister.
“Since yesterday, one of my brothers is missing. My mother is looking for him but we don't know where to look,” she added. Even after they approached the local police, the family was not satisfied with investigations. Their mother had to ask then Delhi police commissioner YS Dadwal to get the investigation transferred to the Crime Branch.
The Station House Officer of the Prasad Nagar Police Station was suspended soon after the family had levelled allegations of not investigating the case properly and harassing them on him. “My son went missing on Friday morning and since I had no other alternative, I made a PCR call about his absence last night. Although the police responded promptly, they are yet to trace my son,” said his 32-year-old mother.
The incident had surfaced on September 17, when one of the family’s neighbours, Subhash Nagar, who is a local politician, persuaded the kids’ mother to lodge a complaint about the alleged abuse. According to police, once the children — students of classes 7, 5 and 3 at JD Tytler School, were in his cab — Ratawal would take them to a rented room somewhere in the Karol Bagh area, where his four associates would be waiting. Another location where he would abuse the children was his own home — when his own two children and wife were not around. “They would then drug the siblings by either injecting them with sedatives or forcing them to swallow oral sedative pills,” said a senior police officer. “Once they were under the influence, the men would push them to have sex with each other before personally raping them. On some occasions, the children were also forced to snort smack,” the officer added.

{{/usCountry}}Police said Ratwal would take care to abuse the children in an organised manner, so as to avoid the setup being discovered by either the school or by their mother. “We have filed a chargesheet in the case on December 17. The hunt to nab the accused juveniles is underway,” the officer said.
