Siddaramaiah makes peace

The crisis in Karnataka Congress appeared to have blown over after Siddaramaiah, the sulking leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, met party chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.

The crisis in Karnataka Congress appeared to have blown over after Siddaramaiah, the sulking leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, met party chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday.

Siddaramaiah, who quit from the post last week after his close associate and former union minister CM Ibrahim was denied nomination to the legislative council, is expected to take back his resignation.

Siddaramaiah has assured the high command that he would cooperate with the state unit to prepare for the coming assembly elections.
