Former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Monday refused to comment on CPI(M) politburo's charges that he was making "false assertions" on party chief Prakash Karat in his forthcoming book, and said he had nothing to say and advised patience till his memoirs were published.

"I have nothing to say. Please hold patience till my memoirs are published," Chatterjee said when asked to comment on the politburo's reaction to his comments on party General Secretary Prakash Karat whom he held responsible for expelling him from the party.
The former speaker said "Let the book (Memoirs of a Parliamentarian) be published and let people read it and judge from their point of view."
Chatterjee's book will be released by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi on August 21.
The CPI(M) politburo has accused Chatterjee of making "false assertions" in his forthcoming book in which he has made a scathing attack on Karat, and said the former speaker had agreed to quit over the Indo-US nuclear deal issue but backed out later.
CPI(M) state secretary Biman Bose too rubbished Chatterjee's accusations against Karat and criticised him for "dragging" late Jyoti Basu's name into the controversy.
