Sonia hoists national flag at AICC headquarters

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday unfurled the national flag at the AICC headquarters in Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his Cabinet colleagues and office-bearers of the party.

Amid playing of the national anthem and patriotic songs, Gandhi took salute from Sewa Dal workers who were present in large numbers.

She wished the waiting mediapersons a Happy Independence Day but did not take questions saying, this was not the time.

The Prime Minister also did not take questions pertaining to the Commonwealth Games saying he has already spoken on the issue.
