A total of 45 cases pending at the appeal stage were settled out of court. A total enhancement over Tribunal Awards of more than R57 lakhs was awarded.

Rajesh Kumar Singh, secretary of the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee which organised the adalat, said it will now be held on last Saturday of every month and will be monitored by the committee's patron-in-chief chief justice Dipak Misra and chairman justice AK Sikri.

Apart from the Continuous Lok Adalat, which is being organised in the Delhi High Court thrice a week, the committee said it intends to hold monthly Lok Adalats in respect of one or two subject matters such as MACT, labour matters, electricity matters, etc.

Singh said litigants and advocates interested in resolving their long pending disputes out of court through Lok Adalats are to contact the committee's office at the Delhi High Court.
