Alleging disregard for Delhi high court’s October order, a south Delhi residents’ welfare association (RWA) has asked the court to withdraw its last month’s concession on the demolition of an illegal mosque.

After the demolition, had sparked protests and unrest in Jangpura, the court had permitted 10 people to offer prayers at the disputed site.
In a fresh application, the Jangpura RWA has asked the court to withdraw that concession and order the DDA to take complete possession of the disputed site. The petition will come up for hearing on Monday.
The petitioner’s counsel RK Saini said: “It’s been a month since the court gave those directions. The order’s being brazenly flouted, for several people gather at the disputed site to offer prayers.”
