Unhappy with the delay in installing streetlights and poor quality of material being used, Delhi PWD minister Rajkumar Chauhan has decided to refer the contract of three private companies to the Central Vigilance Commission.

"Lights have stopped functioning at many places. It is evident poor quality fittings are being installed by these companies," Chauhan said.

"We are not only imposing heavy penalties on these three companies, the matter is being referred to the CVC."
