Sunday date for trader body protest

The Akhil Bhartiya Aggrawal Sammelan will hold a rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday to press for their demand of social security.

National president of the outfit Surendra Gupta said, "We also want the government to provide collective insurance to traders' shops, factories and godowns. We demand that a trader welfare fund be set up."

He said a large number of traders from different states would take part in the rally that would get under way at 10am. "It would be a peaceful protest. The government must ban online trading. Reservation should be provided only on the basis of financial status. Promotion should be given on merit," he said.

The outfit wants the government to take traders on board while formulating national policies.
