Chief Judicial Magistrate A K Singh granted the application moved by police seeking custody after prosecution pleaded that his police remand was essential for further probe into the case.

Police had demanded seven-day custody for Talwar but the court allowed three-day remand only.

Two bail applications, one on health grounds and another claiming loopholes in investigations, and a police plea seeking his remand came up before the court.
