"Both the terrorists who have been killed appeared prima facie to be not locals but from across the border, and the first impressions are that they are probably from Pakistan," Singh told reporters in new Delhi.

Singh said the terrorists had "kit bags" with them. They ostensibly came to to the school ground where the CRPF had a picket to play cricket but suddenly took out AK-47 rifles and started shooting.

"We have lost five men, five of our men are injured but are out of danger. Three civilians are also injured they seem to be out of danger," said Singh.
