Three held for robbery

The Patel Nagar police have arrested three persons, who used to commit crime to meet the needs of their girlfriends. According to police, the accused were fond of liquor and were involved in several cases of robbery, murder and attempt to murder.

Mukesh a.k.a. Guchar, Arun Kumar Gupta and Sonu Gupta, all history-sheeters of Baljeet Nagar police station were arrested by a team led by Ritu Raj, SHO Patel Nagar, Vivek Kishor, DCP (central) said.

"The trio had robbed an autorickshaw driver of his cash and mobile phone at knife-point in the wee hours of Friday. They were nabbed by the staff of Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV)," said Kishor.

A knife used in the crime, the robbed mobile phone of the autorickshaw driver and his cash worth R2,000 were recovered from them, added Kishor.
