Three held for south Delhi burglaries

Three men were arrested for allegedly perpetrating at least eight incidents of burglaries and house thefts in south Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

Idrish, 23, Anand Mandal, 20 and Prem Chand, 33, who had recently burgled a Mehrauli resident's house, were arrested and several stolen laptops , gold and silver jewellery were recovered from them, said Chayya Sharma, DCP (south).

"The gang usually roams around in an auto rickshaw to identify a soft target and then visits the targeted house at night. If they are stopped for checking, they pretend to be waiters returning home after a function," DCP Sharma added.
