With the arrest of three persons, the special cell of Delhi Police claimed to have busted a narcotics network on Saturday which was being allegedly used to finance the activities of an outlawed terrorist outfit in Manipur. The police also seized a huge consignment of pseudoephedrine from the possession of the accused.

Two of the three arrested accused hail from Manipur, while the third is from Mizoram. They have been identified as John Lalmingthanga, 35, an ex-serviceman from the Assam Rifles, Ashem Danny Singh, 32, and Lalawmpuia, 27, from Mizoram.
Sanjiv Kumar Yadav, DCP (special cell), said they received a tip-off that John Lalmingthanga would deliver a consignment to his associates near a school in Janakpuri, west Delhi. Lalmingthanga, the police claimed, was helping Khumanba, top commander of the outlawed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), in financing his terror activities through the narcotics trade.
