Three in police net for vehicle theft cases

The arrested persons have been identified as Deepak alias Deepu (23), Sakir (23) and Javed (24).

Five stolen motorcycles have been recovered from them, police said.

Deputy commissioner of police (south district) Chhaya Sharma said that the arrests came following a drive to check theft of vehicles launched recently in south Delhi areas.

Deepak and Sakir were apprehended with a stolen motorcycle during a checking drive, Sharma said. Javed was arrested on their instance, she added.
