Three snatchers arrested

Delhi Police have arrested three members of a snatchers’ gang who used to target evening walkers at the Civil Lines ridge road. The gang had robbed former media advisor to the PM and senior journalist Harish Khare on July 6.

Police said two accused Kishan, 22, and Gopal, 19, were arrested earlier but robbed the amount and watch was not recovered from them. “During interrogation, they revealed the name of their accomplice Gautam, 24, who was arrested from Mumbai on Wednesday,” a senior police officer said.

Police said that Gautam is involved in 10 criminal cases. Kishan and Gopal, the other two gang members, were arrested from Sabzi Mandi area.

Khare had told police that around on July 6, around 7.30 pm, two men had stopped him in the ridge area. When he tried to resist, the robbers assaulted him. They took away his wrist watch and R3,000 cash. htc
