Train services continue to be hit

The movement of high speed premium Delhi bound trains like Shatabdi, Rajdhani and Janshatabdi Express was also affected and trains were running hours behind schedule.

The trains running on routes like Allahabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh and other east bound trains were running late by more than five-six hours. The fog is expected to be shallow in the Capital but the movement of trains will remain affected as the fog will continue enveloping other adjoining areas.

More than 150 trains were running behind the schedule on Tuesday, whereas 30 trains have already being cancelled and 40 were rescheduled. “I have to go Lucknow for some function. My train is running late by five-six hours. The waiting time could also increase. I have to come back to Delhi on Friday. I don’t know what will be the situation then,” said Amarjeet Rana, a passenger.
