Transit camp at Burari for Urs pilgrims

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated a 20-day transit camp for pilgrims going for the annual ‘Urs’ of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan. The camp has come up at Burari in north Delhi.

Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated a 20-day transit camp for pilgrims going for the annual ‘Urs’ of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti at Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan. The camp has come up at Burari in north Delhi.

Keeping in view the safety and security of the pilgrims, the government has deployed a number of ambulances and have installed CCTV cameras at the camp. As many as 195 mobile public conveniences have also been put up at the camp site.

“No stone has been left unturned to make the stay of the pilgrims of 799th annual Urs comfortable in the camps here,” said revenue minister AK Walia, who was tasked to look after the arrangements at the camps.
