In the Uttam Nagar triple murder case the police have detained the brother-in-law of the victim. On Saturday the police had detained the victim’s husband, Hem Chand. On January 9, Seema Kumari (34) and her two sons Kunal (7) and Nishant (4) were found murdered in their house. The police said the scissors used to slit the throats of the victims and some other evidence were recovered from the crime scene.

“Their throats were slit with the scissors that were found near the sewing machine in the bedroom. Initial investigation suggests that the children were murdered when they were asleep, while Seema struggled with the killer,” said a senior police officer. Police have detained three persons including the victim’s husband and her brother-in-law Naresh Kumar.
